Latina: our young town

Latina is a small city situated about 70 kms from Rome the capital city of Italy. It is about 10 kms from the seaside and about 20kms from the mountains.

It was originally all swampland.
Benito Mussolini reclaimed the land and the city was founded in 1932, 18 december.
It was then called Littoria and only in 1946 it was renamed Latina.

The architecture is mainly what is called Fascist Architecture.
It has about 120.000 inhabitants.

Here are some photos of the city.
